This sculptural Sisseton Whapeton College facility was the collaborative effort of HKG’s technical know-how and Lakota Artist Vic Runnels. Designed as a facility where students could learn building trades by constructing single family homes inside, the building’s unique design makes the SWC campus a local landmark. The Song to the Great Spirit is fully functional with classrooms and offices around the perimeter. The roof is designed to accommodate 300 people for open air events.
